Today I am reviewing the Eternal Sailor Moon Glitter and Glamours figure made by Banpresto. It was a game prize so I ordered it through CD Japan’s Proxy Service. The fees bumped the price up to almost double the listing price, but it was well worth it.

image1This is a beautiful figure and is a lot bigger that I thought she would be! She came in several parts but she was easy to assemble and I did it in under a minute. The detail is amazing and I keep going back over to my cabinet to look at her. The quality is really good for the price too. She’s pretty solid and won’t easily break. There were too versions of this model released in slightly different colours.

I believe there is also a Super Sailor Moon in the same series, that I think I will try to get as well. I love this model so much and she is a beautiful addition to my collection!

Shabby Sunday: Family Curse (Fear Street) by R.L. Stine

Shabby Sunday is a meme started by Mischenko of ReadRantRock&Roll and credit also goes to her for the banner above.

My chosen book for this week is Family Curse (Fear Street) by R.L Stine

Why do so many horrifying things happen on Fear Street? Nora thinks she knows. Ezra is determined to find out. Simon thought changing his name would stop the evil. This volume contains three complete stories from the “Fear Street” series.

During my teenage years I read so many Fear Streets, Point Horrors, Spooksville and Goosebumps books, but Family Curse has always stood out for me and is the only one that I kept. This three novel collection tells the story of the Fier family over several centuries and each generation’s struggle to break the curse that their ancestors brought down upon them. My favourite of the three has to be the first novel ‘The Betrayal’ as it is set in the 1600s which is one of my favourite periods in history, but all three novels are very well-written. I remember when I first bought it I spent all day reading it as I just couldn’t put it down!

Petit-Chara! 25th Anniversary Dark Kingdom Figures!

My Petit-Chara! Dark Kingdom figure set arrived the other day. As they’re so cute and special I wanted to share some photos with you all.

The Dark Kingdom has always been my favourite arch of Sailor Moon and the Shitennou my favourite villains! I loved the ZoisitexKunzite relationship in the 90s anime and those two will always have a special place in my heart as they were also my very first OTP.

Anyways, here’s the photos! As with everything Japanese, even the box is beautiful!

Sailor Moon Crystal!

Sailor Moon Crystal – Shari’s first thoughts!

Artwork and summary for Sailor Moon Crystal was leaked online today (http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2014/03/13/sailor-moon-crystal-key-image-leaks-ahead-of-countdown-climax). Here are my first thoughts on what we’ve seen!

My first impression is ‘wow this is gonna be awesome!’ I love the artwork! It is beautiful! I really like the title too! Although it did kinda make me think Pokemon games!

The summary confirms that the series will be starting from the beginning, which makes me so happy as the Dark Kingdom arc is my favourite! My only real concern about it is that today anime series are a lot shorter than they were and whilst this does cull a lot of the pointless filler episodes (which the original anime had quite a few of!) I would worry about things being rushed along just to make it fit into say 12 episodes!

All in all this looks amazing so far and I can’t wait to see more as the release gets nearer!
