Happy Halloween!

Halloween 2022

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you’re all having a spook-tastic day!

As you all know I am no stranger to paranormal experiences and today I thought I would share a couple of these with you.

This first one happened in the house where I used to live. It was probably close to midnight and I had just gone to bed. I was just drifting off when I felt a hand touch my bare back under my pyjama top. Of course, it made me jump and grab my phone for the torchlight. When I looked there was no one there. This never happened again but when we had first moved into that house, my sister said something did not feel quite right about it, especially in her bedroom. Strangely enough this feeling went away when she changed the position of all the furniture in there!

The second experience I am sharing with you happened when me and friend went to London to see VAMPS in concert. We had booked to stay in one of those Victorian house to hotel conversions. I cannot remember the name of the hotel, but the room had a spooky vibe to it from the moment we walked in. There were even creepy photos of long-dead Victorians hanging on the walls.

When we returned from the gig, we were both really tired and just wanted to go sleep. We had just turned the light out when we started hearing this creaking like someone was walking around in the room. Oddly, it was just coming from my friend’s side of the room. We put the light on, and nothing was there, so we put it out again. As soon as the lights went out it started again. My friend was getting worried now as we could both see some kind of shadow near the foot of her bed. It was tall like it was a person but there were no obvious features to it. I said to my friend we needed to ignore it as her getting scared was encouraging it. It takes a lot for a paranormal encounter to scare me, so I think this is why it was only on her side of the room. It somehow sensed that there was no point in trying to frighten me.

In the end my friend ended up sharing my bed and so the thing followed her across the room and the floorboards at the end of my bed started creaking. I sat up in bed and told it that we had been to a gig, and we were tired so would it mind please going to bother someone else. I honestly did not expect that to work but it did and off it went! After my friend had calmed down, we settled down to get some sleep and as I was drifting off, I heard someone in the room next door saying, ‘What’s that?’.

If you have experienced anything spooky or unexplained, please do share them with me!

Fear not (Halloween bad pun!) I am going to schedule something else in instead and I also have a personal spooky tale or two planned for Halloween itself!

3. Lights Out – When Rebecca left home, she thought she left her childhood fears behind. A frightening entity with a mysterious attachment to their mother, Sophie, has reemerged.

But this time, as Rebecca gets closer to unlocking the truth, there is no denying that all their lives are in danger…once the lights go out.

2. The Unholy – The Unholy, based on James Herbert’s best-selling book Shrine, follows a young hearing-impaired girl who is visited by the Virgin Mary and can suddenly hear, speak, and heal the sick.
