Shari’s Life: Broken World Update and Jubilee Weekend

Shari's Life

This week I had a week off so I used it to work more on the release of Broken World and also to spend some time with my family.

Broken World Update

1652373383The series tour has now been scheduled through Gay Book Promotions and you can sign up here. I would be grateful if you are able to sign up for a post to support the release. Review copies of all the previous books in the series are available now and the ARC for Broken World will be shortly. I am also preparing the print edition to release at the same time as the Kindle edition, and am currently waiting for the proof copy of this!

A couple of weeks ago I received back the proof for New Era and I signed this off yesterday so it should be live on Amazon very soon!

I will be posting some excerpts from Broken World in the run-up to release day. The first one will be posted on 9th June so please look out for this!

Week off and Jubilee Weekend

First of all it was a week of birthdays! My sister’s birthday was on 27th May and to celebrate we took my nephew to the soft-play centre in Chichester for the morning and then we had a meal in Wildwood restaurant afterwards. Wildwood is our favourite restaurant. The food is always so good and the staff are so friendly and kind to Georgie. Afterwards we went back to my sister and brother-in-law’s for cake!

On Tuesday 31st it was my Dad’s birthday. Mum had a minor op in the hospital the day before so they came round to mine for a birthday lunch. Dad brought Tash a sachet of wet food so she was very happy to see him! He brought her one once and she started looking for it every time so he always brings one now! I mainly feed her dry food as she has dental biscuits but like us all she can have the occasional treat!

image0On Wednesday we took Georgie to the Weald and Downland Museum which is an open air museum that rescues and restores old houses. Georgie loves it there and spends hours running in and out of the different buildings! Like a lot of places they have kept the Covid booking system in place and its so much nicer. I remember going before Covid and you had to wait ages to get into houses and couldn’t look properly as there were people everywhere. It’s a much nicer experience and honestly I would have no issue paying a bit more in entry fees to places to keep systems like these.

image1Yesterday we stayed local and went to the funfair on the seafront that is here for the Jubilee. There was also a parade which was good fun! Georgie wasn’t that keen on the rides at the fair as he’s still a bit little but we won him a fire truck toy on the Hook a Duck which made his day! Afterwards we went to the local park and got Jubilee ice creams!

It’s been a really lovely week. I have been glad to take some time out and also to be able to spend some more time on Broken World’s release too.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
